Surprised that it took you since 2017 to grow tired of your mattress. Less than two weeks for us!

We bought a Casper basic-model foam mattress, a bit less expensive than a Sleep Number. Very comfortable after months of sleeping on it. I'm a really big guy, my wife very average, we both like it.

One of the nice things about these foam mattresses (Casper was one of the first but now has many competitors you can find online) is that they arrive in a compact box that's easy to muscle into the bedroom. Open it there and the mattress "inflates" itself in a matter of minutes, ready to use.

Thanks for the comments folks. As was stated by some, my wife and I have different opinions about mattresses in the house too. I like sleep number, she likes temperputic. This is going to be interesting!

We bought a Sleep Number before we ever slept on the mattress that came with our 2019 2800.

Likewise, we never slept on our original -- thanks to the threads in this forum!

We decided on a Nectar foam mattress because they have a one year trial period. Nobody else that we found came close to matching that. That's probably about to run out, but I don't care. We like it much better than the one we had in our sticks and bricks.

Good luck in your decision process.

We put a Nectar mattress in our 303 this spring. Haven't been able to get out to go camping and try it out yet though. Going this weekend for the first time this year. The original "mattress" is just a six inch or so thick pcs of light foam. Was ok for that about the first 15 nights on it but after that I pretty much sunk straight to the plywood platform.

Similar problem. We use a memory foam topper and it makes under bed storage a challenge to get to.

That's funny, we did the same exact thing. Put the old sleep number in the rv and purchased a new one for the house. I'm only researching because it does take up more space than the original factory mattress.
