A little Bit Disappointed.....

So, we have a brand new Momentum 394 and one of the awnings on the T.H. is a Carefree of Colorado "Latitude" model. I started reading about the Latitude trying to find out if the pitch of the awning is adjustable, and it is, so that's good. Then I come across the section that talks about the BT12 module, which is a Bluetooth module that goes in the awning by the motor and allows you to control the awning via a Android or IOS app on your phone. The app has the ability to extend and/or retract the awning, control the LED lighting on the awning, and if the wind sensor (which is optional) is on it, can bring the awning in during a wind condition. So I'm excited and I download the app on my phone and try to pair it with the BT module in the awning. Guess what, G.D. cheaped out and didn't order the awning with the BT12 module in it, much less the wind sensor module. So really, when you buy a trailer that lists for over 100K and they cheap out on a $140 module/Remote/wind sensor, that just sucks. Honestly, it would be nice to have those features, but instead, the owner has to do that if the modules hasn't been ordered with the awning by the factory. It seems like they put everything else on the trailer, why not that item too? I know, I'm probably knit picking a bit, but it kind of makes me a little angry! Rant over!

I hear ya. On the TV antenna, there is a version with a signal meter and one without. Difference in price is a few bucks. Guess which version is installed in my TT. Yup...

How about a furrion system that does not play a blue ray disc?

How about install the stuff that they already put in correctly , if this module that you want was installed it may not work anyhow.

How about the remote for the level system? GD doesn’t provide it so I ordered it directly from Lippert. Incredibly useful...but not included...

You should be able to do this through the One Control App. Download it and you can do so much more with the trailer through the app. Having the the Bluetooth in the awning would be an unnecessary extra cost.

I have the One Control app on my Nexus 6P and yes, I can control the awning with that. The part that interests me more than just being able to run the awning is the auto retract feature of that system that can bring the awning in during a wind event. I'm pretty good about not taking any chances with the awnings, but if it were on the trailer from the factory, it would certainly be nice. After looking at the price to buy the equipment, it's probably just not worth it.....I'll just continue to bring the awning in on my own.

I use my phone app to do that if I need to do anything other than an ordinary unhook/auto level/hitch position. The phone for the One Control is pretty awesome.

Brian, that would be on Carefree of Colorado then. I'm guessing, but if the awning is ordered with that device included, it would already be in the end cap of the awning.

I think that pretty much ALL the manufacturers need to step up their game with a better entertainment system for these trailers. I agree, the ones that are normally in them are pretty much 10 year old or more, technology.
