how to open roof vent in kitchen?
Hi Guys.
We have a 303rls I was wondering how do you open the roof vent in the kitchen.
The knob to open it is a good 8ft off the floor. I guess you climb up on the island.
How do you open yours? Charlie...

You can get one of these. I'm thinking of either buying or making one. For now I can reach it using a plastic folding step my wife uses to reach high shelves.

Have a step stool but it's a bother :-)

We have a Solitude and it has a remote switch on the wall and is all automatic. Can't imagine having it any other way.

Hi Guys
Thanks for replying. Ventstik looks like a good idea,as long as I can find it when I need it. I am not
the most organized person in the world.
I looked at the Fan-tastic vent as a replacement but 200.00+ dollars is a little steep for me. I guess the step stool
is the best bet as long as I don't fall down and kill myself. My wife is short and we would need a stool anyway.
A lot safer than climbing on the island. Thanks for your input. Charlie....

The Fantastic Vent would be one of the best $200 you can spend on an accessory for the trailer. They really do make a difference on days you want air flow but not the AC.
We have the one with the remote and rain sensor in the "kitchen". It's connected to the 3rd switch under the hutch top cabinets.
We don't regret that purchase at all and would replace it if the time ever came.Marcy & Gary

Max air cover on ours. We only ever touch the vents twice a year. Once in the winter to bring it half way closed and once in the spring to open it up. With the cover over it never had a problem with weather. It also allows fresh air in the unit year round eliminating the stale feeling and reduces the build up of humidity.

I put in a Fantastic Fan with a remote. I had the same question to the dealer when I bought mine.
