I hate to admit it, but I just bought from Camping World...

I hate to admit it, but I just made a purchase from Camping World. No, not an RV, that would just be silly (search for Camping World on google if you don't know what I'm talking about), but for a washer and dryer for my 2020 Momentum 397TH. Back in March when I ordered from my local dealer they wanted an extra $2900 (before discount) to install a washer and vented dryer (separate, not combo) - but even after my discount it was (imho) ridiculously expensive.

After doing a bit of research my wife and I decided that we wanted the Spendide stackable RV washer and vented dryer (Washer: ARWXF129W, Dryer: TVM63F). Our dealer doesn't offer these units - but we did find a different dealer about 100 miles south of us that does - but even they wanted $2200(ish) installed. I've been watching the prices of these on Amazon and they've been pretty steady and pretty competitively priced and surprisingly available with free shipping via Prime - however this past weekend I was able to catch them on sale at CW and on top of that they offered an additional discount because of the holiday. I think I got a good deal as compared to what I can get them for locally or on Amazon. I got both washer and dryer plus all mounting kits (floor, stack and vent) for $1565 all in.

I think for what I'm saving the "fun" of installing them myself will be worth it.

It's funny how people can have such different experiences. The General RV I bought my Reflection from had some pretty bad reviews (mainly used purchases), while I have had no complaints although they seem expensive for any work outside of the warranty. The CW near me (used them since '15 in Cocoa) just installed a Splendide combo unit and three slide covers with no problem. They also repaired a couple gel coat scratches (oops), again no problem.

All Camping Worlds are not created equal. The CW in Kansas City I can tell my own horror story and many from friends of mine that have used the service center. I wouldn't let the KC CW put air in the tires of lawnmower. Now the one in Springfield MO has treated is great and has helped us out of a jam a couple of times and I would trust them to work on my RV any day.

The one here.....my friend took his 5r in for wheel bearing packing...and new batteries.... aftering paying the bill.... he decided to look at the batteries... same old ones...digging in they did all the work on another unit....

That ^^^^^ sounds like Comcast! I was supposed to get hooked up (been about 7 or 8 years ago) and they called me on the way home from work and said they were done with the install. I pulled up in the driveway and NOTHING. I called them back and told them nothing was there. What was your address again sir? I told them and after a long silence, I heard a "oops"! They put it on someone else's house, not mine

If a store has what I want for a price that's reasonable I'll buy it. Don't care which one it is.
