Outer Banks of NC next weekend - suggested to-dos??

    Hi,
This didn't seem to get posted so trying again.
Heading to the Outer Banks of NC for the 1st time in 25 years.
Outside of seeing the Light Houses and Wright Brothers Museum any suggested places to check out?
I have heard the ferry ride to the islands might be good.
Bringing our bicycles hoping there are roads/trails to head out on.
    Looking forward to your ideas!!

Ferry ride to Ocracoke Island is fun. Spend some time exploring the island.

Plenty of places to ride bikes. If you need a shopping 'fix,' Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills or Manteo is best bet. Once you are on Hatteras Island, there is much less commercial. Visit the marina at Oregon Inlet and watch the fishing fleet come in in the evening.

Outer Banks is much more laid back than other beach venues.

How about, The Corolla Wild Horses. Located in the northernmost beaches of the Outer Banks, in the 4WD area that's just north of Corolla. This is a nice tour of the beach, houses and trying to find the horses. In fact, Grave Digger has a house out there (Monster Truck)
If your vehicle is a 4wd, you can drive yourself for free.

If you like great beer and sausages be sure to look up Weeping Radish just inland from the Banks.

The Outer Banks Brewing Station in Kill Devil Hills is pretty good.

Guy Fieri featured it a few years back on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives...
