    Blue In-line filter quesiton

I used one of these on our trip back in mid-march. It was used for 2 days and then stored. Is it trash now or can we keep using it on our trip tomorrow?

I would try to run water through it. I think if you get flow you are good. With my Rainfresh filters I was told to dry them out between use and then run water through them for a few minutes at next use.

We use 1 per year. Just run a little water thru it before hooking it up.

Same here, we reuse them after running water through. They state they last three months. I think that should take into consideration how much you use it. I use two filters a year.

I replace this filter about every three months. Make sure that you "blow out" a new filter with water, before connecting to your RV. There will be a lot of carbon dust that you don't want in your RV water system.

Very true Rob. When you first turn it on it will look pretty ugly.

I do this each time I use the filter. Sometimes I get "stuff" out and not other times. Just a good practice to keep doing. I also use 1 a season but do not dry in between uses , just put the caps back on and store. Usually we are about 3 weeks between uses.

Okay. I'll just flush it out and keep using it. Thanks for the quick answers. :-)

We use one per season and as stated previously when you first connect it you will get a good deal of carbon dust so run water through before connecting it to the RV. We camp about 50 nights a year. This has always done fine for us.

I decided to reuse it and neither of us has died of dysentery yet, so I think it's fine. I did flush it before the first use in March. I have made that mistake with other charcoal filters before... Not fun.

I also flushed a gallon or so through it again when we got here just to be safe.

    Thanks for the advice.
