Well, the deal is done and she's home. I drove from Knoxville, TN area all the way to Nashville, IL to get this....approx. 450 miles each way.....and all in one day. I left the house at 4AM and got back home at just before 10PM and got it unloaded and in the garage. I encountered a little rain, a little sleet, and on the return trip, a snowstorm for about 15 minute when coming through the mountains in mid Tennessee....but it's all good......

    NICE
Those are fun in the corners. You almost need a seat belt to hold you into the seat, because they can turn so very fast.

    Enjoy, KEN

Yea, that's what I'm hearing. It will certainly be a learning curve after all these years on sportbikes and being an Instructor that taught folks how to ride on racetracks (Road Course type tracks). Lean angles, knee down type stuff and using mostly only the front brake to scrub off speed for corner entry. Yep, a whole different ball game for sure.

We are 3 Months into our trial run with the Solitude. We are down in Harlingen Texas, and I am REALLY missing my Harley, or the Buell.
Any Grand Design owners out the using a "Swivel Wheel" to take their scooter along??

Have a solitude 374th to haul ours around but am interested in the swivel wheels and Idaho totes for a few years down the road when we will probably downsize. Curious to see how the law treats them as most states on the east half do not allow double tows. I’ve heard mixed messages on these as to wether they r considered a double tow

You really have to dig into the actual state laws to determine if swivel wheels are allowed. The thing that makes them not a second "towed" vehicle is that there is no "hitch". They are mounted by two fixed points on the first towed vehicle, thus making them an extension.

I researched it pretty extensively when I first started out, but decided the iffiness of the legality was not something I wanted to mess with as I had planned on visiting every state.

If you do the swivel wheel thing be sure to check out "over all length". It's another little gotcha and also varies by state. RVIA put out an info sheet; RVIA Info Sheet

This mess is why I love my Momentum 376 with a little garage.

yep. started riding in 1968 on a Honda 90 Street & worked my way up to a 1976 R75/6. That got me to about 105K miles. Then had to sell that first beemer in 1980 to pay off some docs who decided they needed to cut me open and remove a bad part. Didn't pick it up again until April of 2000 with a '99 R1200C. Have now gotten to my second C, second R1100RT and first R1100S and logged another 370K miles in the process.

Yes, 2015 Indian RoadMaster. It’s been on the Tail of The Dragon twice along with the Charohola Skyway, Blue Ridge Parkway from beginning to end, Nova Scotia, Around Lake Superior, plus many, many shorter trips.
    Love to ride!
