Electric Hot Water Heater not working

Anyone have a quick fix? Electric portion of the hot water heater not working, gas works fine. I cycled the circuit breakers, checked for loose connections, reset everything I can think of......any other possible solutions out there before I take it in??

If you can, check that voltage is getting to the element.

Mine didn’t work from new... found a connector off in the tank electrical box (on side of tank)... either missed at factory or fell off.

I'm going to ask the obvious...is the small toggle switch in the "on" position on the heater itself?

**only applies to Suburban water heater**

In addition to the other suggestions, if you have an ohm meter check the heating element. If the electric side was turned on with no water in the water heater the element will overheat and fail. The heating element should have about 9 - 11 ohms resistance - this applies to both Suburban and Dometic.

Just got home from a trip.....it was a loose connection on the igniter. Worked like a champ after a quick fix. Thanks for all the suggestions
