It's actually worse than FB.
On FB, I can go back and edit one of my posts a few hours, a few days or weeks later.
I can even delete one of my FB posts if I decide it's just too controversial, or if someone has successfully changed my point of view on a topic.
Not here. The post I made yesterday (above) is no longer available to me for editing. I can't even delete it, and it's "my" post.
Since the new owners took over we are no longer able to edit or delete our own posts because our posts are "their property".

I have no plans on barging in on anyone's party.

I was there last year and didn't attend the "events" or the meals. I was actually camped nearby for a month before any of you even got there. I will be there again this year and every year, long before the rally starts and long after it's gone.
I just come by and talk to a handful of folks I know from this forum and from FB.

My point was other people can do the same, if they choose to.

As for hanging out where and when you want, it's no skin off my nose. But I must say they way the original post is written it doesn't read like "I'm just going to drop by and say hello to my friends". I'm sure that is no problem, but the camaraderie, hanging around with the vendors and listening to the lectures just might be worth the $50 you are trying so hard not to spend.

Yes, the edit feature is there for me, also. On recent posts.

On earlier posts, it's no longer there. I'm thinking with the recent changes made here, the edit feature has a life to it now. I know that's how it works on one of the other forums I'm on. You can only edit for 20 minutes on that one.

I make mistakes, I get info wrong, mixed upside down, backwards, and if the edit feature has a time limit that will limit my participation.
In Quartsite we camp out on Plomosa RD.
Would love to attend the Rally though.

Since not everyone is on facebook, it would be nice if someone would post a little "yeah, we know you're here" comment occasionally to at least make us feel like we're in the loop, and not the ugly stepchildren.
