Looking for advice on rv parks in the Minneapolis, MN

    Hi all,

I am looking for recommendations on RV parks in the MSP area, within about 45mins-ish to the airport. We plan on being there for a few weeks, and would like reasonable access to a lot that Minny/StP have to offer..... number #1 priority Safe & friendly, in a good area, full hookups. Suburbs are fine too, just want a nice place to settle for awhile and explore. We have never been to the area but hear great things! Don’t wanna do a state park this time, but may return after we get a feel for the vibes.

Thanks in advance for any info you can give!

    Hi Jim,

There are a few I would consider. Getting in will be the challenge.

    https://www.co.dakota.mn.us/parks/Re...es/Campgrounds
    https://koa.com/campgrounds/minneapolis-northwest/
    https://koa.com/campgrounds/minneapolis-southwest/

The Dakota County parks only allow for a maximum 14 day stay. Lebanon Hills (Dakota County) is likely the closest one to the airport and has full hookups. Some sites are a little close but they do have some great spots.

The KOAs are both okay and we stay one or two times each season at each of those campgrounds. Dakota Meadows is a casino campground but very nice and great hookups.

There are others but that is the list we have experience with each year.

Welcome to the Twin Cities! Looks of great things to see and do.

    Hi Jim,

We really like the Lebanon Hills campground in Apple Valley, MN. It is close to the zoo, airport, the Mall of America etc. It does not feel like you are camping in the cities. It is a quiet very clean campground.

Welcome to MN, lots to do and see here.

It's on the North side, but Bunker Hills or Rice Creek Regional Parks are both marvelous. Your problem will be booking weekends.
