Auto level control panel, slippery steps, and more storage mods

My husband finally removed the auto level control panel from the majorly awkward location in the upper front of the street side storage space and put it on an umbilical for me (YAY!!!) Much easier to see what I'm doing now.

After both of us had slipped on the interior steps we purchased a sheet of rubberized anti-slip mat (for showers) and cut it into strips for putting on the steps.

And, finally, while tracking down a draft behind the headboard, we discovered that there was a small space under the head of the bed that we could open up for more storage. A couple of hinges later, voila!

I like that Idea of an umbilical for the auto level. For me, not the wife (she wants nothing to do with it). Anything special that he did?

The biggest "special" thing was to be sure to unplug the control cable from the main control board to the touch screen (this is the 4 pin connectors - small wires). And he bought a plastic box to mount the touch screen in. He cut the control cable and soldered in a length of 4 conductor cable. And then plugged it into the touch screen and main control board.

    Hope that helps.

FYI, Lippert sells a remote control for the auto level.

It's not a whole lot of storage (only about 8 inches deep), but we can put some things in there that we don't need full time access to.

I have the remote and use it all the time, especially for small adjustments hooking up. Also, my 337 is stored inside and often very difficult to get to the mounted panel...if I get too close to the storage unit wall.
