    Tire Blowout Damage

I had a tire blowout yesterday and caused some damaged to the body. I would like to know how I can repair/replace the parts circled. Should I go through my insurance company? I am sure I am the only one with these types of damaged. How did you guys handle this?

All 4 tires are original Westlake Tires only 4000 miles. I am replacing all 4 with Goodyear endurance.
My main question is how do I fix the body damage.

Hope no one was hurt. Sorry, can't help with repairs. Haven't been down that particular road .... yet. Have less than 90 miles on our TT. Selling here and moving down towards your neck of the woods later this month.

The Grand Design rep told me if a blowout caused body damage while under the warranty period they would take care of it. And the tire warranty was at least a couple of years.

I experienced similar damage when one of my Westlake tires blew out. Part of the tire hit the vehicle behind me and damaged their hood. I went through my insurance company

Ouch. I think after you get a repair estimate you may be calling the ins co. Changing out my Westlakes that have less than 1000 miles to Carlisles today, don't feel like rolling the dice every trip.

I had a blowout on our Reflection 303rls last summer. The tire was a Westlake and I drove to the next town in Colorado and put on 4 new Goodyear Endurance also. I was luckier than you and the only damage I had was on the bottom of the slide like yours. I repaired the insulation, then took galvanized sheet metal and installed it above all 4 tires screwing into the existing framework. I feel at least if it happens again the slide will be protected from bottom damage.

I was thinking about doing the same thing. Thanks for your advice.
