schwintek slide seal replacement

One of the outside seals on the Schwintek slide got caught in a roller and I need to replace it but I can't find a replacement seal anywhere. It has an over all width of 2-1/8" and the flange width is about 1-3-16". I can find larger ones but not the one I need. Can anyone help?

You can try calling GD or going to the GD web site and use the parts lookup. Then you can have a dealer order it for you or call GD and hope they will let you order it.

Mine did the same thing. Actually broke the gear box on one side. I was not able to source one side or the seals. The whole assembly was ordered by my dealer and replaced using my extended warranty.

I can help from past experience. These are now a Lippert brand. Go to the LCI website and search for the Owner's Manual. In the back it has a full parts list. You cannot get individuals components from GD, only assembles because that is what they and all the manufacturers buy. However, you can get any bit or piece from Lippert, but be prepared you will likely get passed around a bit before getting the right person. I personally have never had a poor experience with Lippert once I connected with the right department and person.

I got the seal from GD, now I need to install. Anyone have any idea on the best caulking to use where between where the side seals overlap the top & bottom seals (rubber to rubber). The original is some sort of black sealant.

Automotive weatherstrip adhesive. Any decent auto parts store. I'm partial to 3M brand.
