Do not use WD-40. When the carrier evaporates you're left with a sticky goo.

I am a fan of the dry lube:

That said, there are other causes that result in the valve handle being hard to pull; such as debris at the valve and improperly routed cables. I had both grey tanks lock up and the tech told me the cause was that the bend radius on the cable was exceeded. Both of mine have been replaced last season and have been ok since.
Also, consider putting some loc-tite on the screw that attaches the handle to the rod. Several here (including me) have lost handles on the road. Cheap part but a PAIN to replace (most handles online have a female thread and screw directly onto the male rod. These use a separate screw that goes into the female rod. OK, that sounds dirty, but isn't).Last edited by Keebler; 06-11-2019 at 08:08 AM.

Thanks all.
Pulled the plug on the 2600rb. Maiden voyage is today. I have silicone to spray.
Couldn't really tell but they don't look like the Valterra handles I'm used to seeing.

The "gm" suffix is for GlassMaster brand. These have a different lubrication than prior supplier to LaSalle. Paying attention to bend radius is very important. I replaced all (3) of my cables; its not as difficult as I expected.

The black and one of the grey tank handles on the 2600RB are behind the street side wheels, they do pick up lots of road gunk. I suggest you do lube them with either silicon or dry lube, and as noted above, work them open and closed after a spray of lube. (2150RB has the same arrangement)
