    Frig Problems

Need a little help on my refrigerator. I have a 303 with a Dometic frig. I’m hooked up to shore power with the frig in auto. I think it is running only on LP as both the auto and LP LED is illuminated.

I tried to force it to operate on electrical by shutting the LP off and I get the flashing LP/temperature indication and it slowly starts warming up. Start the LP back up and it starts to cool.

I checked the fuse and it’s ok, can’t find the power cord to make sure its plugged in. Turned it off for a couple minutes and restarted. No luck...

    Appreciate any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Hi: If you have the Dometic four door refrigerator the plug is outside behind the bottom vent cover. Look to the right you should see a plug for the refrigerator cord. Also do you have any breakers or GFI tripped? Iam not sure if you mean circuit breaker for the word fuse.

Found the plug and it was plugged in and the outlet works. Circuit breaker was not tripped and only could find 1 GFCI outlet.

    Any other ideas out there?

Probably the main board. They are junk. There's a lot better board out there after market, check Amazon.

Thanks. Is the board easy to reach? Any lead on what board I need?

Before you buy a new board there should be some fuses for the fridge. From page 18 of the manual there are 2 fuses on the circuit board, a 3A and 5A. I would pull those and check with an ohmmeter to see if they are good or not. Might just be a blown fuse. Not sure how to access the board though as I have never had the honour of doing that yet.

Probably a dumb question but if the fuses were bad would I even be able to use the frig on LP?

There are 2 circuits, one 12V and one 120V from what I can see in the schematic. If one of the 120V fuses are blown the fridge would still work on 12V. In the schematic there is another fuse besides the ones I was mentioning that is in the 12V line. Hate to see you change the board if one of the 120V fuses is just the culprit.

Before you take anything apart, try turning the fridge off for a few minutes and then on again in electric mode.

Checked all fuses a and they are good, powered down and still nothing. Just about has to be the circuit board.
