Haas Lake Park, Michigan
Checking in from Haas Lake Park, Michigan. We arrived May 19th in anticipation of the first Grandchild in Ann Arbor. Selected Haas Lake because of proximity and features. Large RV park with multiple manmade lakes and various activities and hook ups. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lots of full timers, and returning seasonal campers. Fills up on the weekends.

Michigan has had buckets and more buckets of rain since our arrival. Thought we were going to wear sandals, instead bought muck boots for the mud? Initially, we were on the U loop (saw a muskrat 25' behind the site) and moved lakeside to a Z loop premium site. No swamp = fewer mosquitos!
We will stay here again.
Tips:
1. The farther you are from the entrance, the quieter.
2. Next year's booking starts in late October.
3. The entrance to the park is a dirt road. The dust and mud will find your rig.
4. No discounts, not military, GS, nothing. They do have weekly, monthly, and seasonal rates.
5. Close to tourist attractions in Detroit.
6. Good place to teach a kid to fish.
7. Walmart and Lowes are close by in New Hudson. Meijer, General RV and Menards in Wixom.Jeff and Mary

The rain has really hammered this region - definitely putting a damper on our camping as well. Of course many are dealing with catastrophic flooding so soggy camping pales in comparison.
