American Flag
I love displaying our American flag when we are camped. I had a mount on the tongue of our travel trailer and that worked well. However, we just bought a fifth wheel so I'm looking for ideas. What do you all do?

I was just looking for a flagpole and mount myself. I was looking on Amazon, but the ones that came up were aluminum. I'm not sure I want a 16 or 22 ft lightening rod on the back of my RV. So I was looking for a fiberglass pole. Still undecided whether I want the 16 or 22 ft pole. I found this pole that seems reasonable...

The other consideration was a mount. I don't want something cheap or cheesey. It needs to be strong yet easy to use. I found this one that mounts on the ladder and it seems decent. A bit pricey, but decent.

I haven't decided on anything yet, but these are my top contenders at this point.

I have two of the flag poles one for the boat and one for the camper. They work well and are sturdy and collapse to about 4.5’.

Saw several poles last week that were a metal pole with a flat plate on the bottom. The owner placed the flat plate under on of the jack feet.
Don’t have a link or a picture, sorry. Maybe you can find something similar.

I bought a new flagpole and hitch mounted holder when we got our fifth wheel. We have only used it 10 days or so, but so far, so good.

It really depends on how/where you want to mount the pole/pole holders on your rig. I have been satisfied with Flag Pole Buddy products. They are an American company and the owners are RVr's. I used their rear ladder mount brackets and their telescoping 12' pole on my motorhomes. When we got the Solitude, I got another 12' telescoping pole and use their surface mount brackets which are screwed into the rear of the rig on the left side.

We have been using the 22’ flagpole buddy for about 6 years and love it. It’s a fiberglass pole and stows to about 5’ and has held up to some pretty fierce winds with no issues. Easy to install after installing the two ladder brackets.
