Grand Design Solitude 365DEN new owner as of today

Made a few posts on here already. But picked up our 365DEN from Lifestyle RVs in Grain Valley today. Awesome job done by all of them. Have it set up in the yard getting it ready for leaving on Monday.

Nice, and welcome aboard. I wanted to get the 366 DEN with the outdoor kitchen but the other half insisted on the bunk house model. IMO the DEN is a bunk house model or at least close enough. I'm happy with the 323 BHS.

I have a quick question. We forgot to get an adapter to hook to our 30 amp at the house. We had the fridge on propane to get it cooled down, and then we forgot to turn a couple lights off last night. Now the battery is dead. Can i put a regular battery charger on it so we can run the fridge today and get it cooled down before we leave? Can I run the charger on the lowest setting and leave it hooked up? Or is the only way to charge is be hooked to shore power or the truck? Obviously I dont want to leave my truck running half the day, chargimg batteries. Thanks.

How dead are you talking about? Like lights won't even illuminate? Not good for the battery if so and chances of recovery are slim. You may be able to get it charged back up but it will never be the same.

You can connect a charger to it and doesn't have to be on trickle but I would keep a close eye on it for the first 30 minutes or so with it being dead. The charge current will drop off pretty quickly then you should be OK to turn your fridge on as its only using control power but don't run anything else. A bit surprised actually that your battery dumped that fast with the fridge and a couple of lights.

Yea, that dead. Well thats not good news.

I put my charger on it. Have 50 amp start, 10 amp, fast charge, and 2 amp slow charge. Ill run it for awhile on 10 amp and then maybe switch to 2 amp. Hopefully its ok then. I wonder if a battery minder would keep ot charged enough to run the fridge?

There is a fan? On the fridge? I can hear it running and in the PDI my tech said that is much better for the cold to distribite. It was two of the pretty blue interior lights, and the fridge running.
