    Solitude drain pipe

Has anyone else had issues with the campground sewer connection being higher than the drain pipe on their Solitude? And if so found a solution. Ours is pulled up pretty snug against the frame rail but is barely 8” off the ground sitting on jacks. More times than not I have to lift the slinky like a snake to walk the fluids from it.

We have a 2930 and did not have that issue on our maiden voyage this past weekend.

yep. Same issue on my 310GK-R. Like you, I just "walk" the slinky hose. You probably also will find your tanks don't always drain completely and that when driving after draining some residual fluid works it's way to the outlet. Many of us have installed a valve at the outlet to prevent a mess when uncapping the end of the drain pipe.

    Same issue with the 310-GK.

I also installed a valve at the outlet for safety reasons, but that just accentuated the too-low drain pipe problem.

Haven't figured out the plumbing fittings required just yet, but I've got a future project to cut the drain closer to the tank-exit to gain some height. If anyone has done this, would love to hear about their project.

What GD produced for the 310-GK sewer drain is just a poorly thought out implementation. Kind of irritating because anyone who's ever dumped their tanks would know the drain height is flawed by just looking at it.

Glad it isn’t just me. I have added a Valterra valve as well. We’ve been in probably 20 parks so far. I actually had one where the pipe was higher than my outlet. It isn’t a horrible ordeal , but could definitely be smoother.

I guess this is a "perk" or downfall of the drop frame in the Solitude line. We really like the 2930 and I never gave this a thought. With our Reflection I have had a couple sites that the campground sewer inlet was higher than my outlet , not by much but enough.

It's really no big deal. The tank and it's outlet are higher then the exit. The mass will go out for the most part. As long as the park sewer connection is not too close, most of the liquids (and solids) will come out and down the hole. KEN

YES YES YES! This is driving me crazy! It takes a long time to drain the tanks because the water back fills in the slinky hose. Like you I have to “walk” the water into the drain connection in the ground. I have the 2930 as other poster mentioned, not sure how he is not having this problem. I have spent hours trying to find a solution, but to no avail....

We have a 2930 as well, but definitely have this problem. RV drain pipe is too close to the ground. I literally have to “walk” the slinky contents to the drain connection in the ground. DW has to hold the connection to ensure it doesn’t pop out during the process. Very aggravating and frustrating!

I bought one on those Valterra valves for the end of the pipe but I’m wondering how everyone secures it for travel; I’m not sure about relying on only the twist on connection
