Congrats and envious. We too are looking at the 380TH. But we like the dinette.

Also very interested to hear the height of the garage are to determine what will fit back there....

    Congrats again!

Disappointing that they went to triple axles to save money. At the Owners Rally and in their literature, building quality and innovation were their stated reasons for forming the company. The heavier double axle was a lot of the selling point to us and a major point of difference. With that said, we love our 380th and continue to be very happy with it.

I'd be surprised that there's much (if any) savings going from 2 x 8000# to 3 x 7000# axles. It makes more sense that they changed to be more competitive to other manufacturer's offerings...would allow a reduction in pin weight and room to increase the CCC should they need to.

X2= on going to triple axles. That is the major factor we looked at it saw two axles. And put it on list to look at. And ended up buying it for the set up of the 2 axles and the overall build of the whole 5th wheel trailer. Plus Wife loved the inside. I think perception of having 2 axles is a hard thing to grasp on a larger 5er toy hauler when only 3 axles have been around for as long as they have. Hard to sell them possibly. Changes are hard to sell at times. Just glad I was able to get the 2 axle before they changed. We think this trailer is the
    best purchase for us. Hoodie

I talked to a dealer yesterday about the three axles, they told me that GD felt they were loosing sales by only having 2 axles, so they caved and went with 3. The idea of having 3 axles is pretty good though, 3x7 is 21,000 plus the pin weight vs 2x8 being 16,000 with a 3500 pin, being 19,500. So the safety margin is much larger with 3, but I like having only 2 because when turning it stresses the frame and axles less.
