Black Cap Loose on Fairview Regulator
While checking my propane tank I noticed the Fairview regulator ... it has a black round plastic cap on the front with the Fairview logo on it. It was partially unscrewed and loose. I screwed it out further and it looks like a valve stem of some kind. I don't think it is supposed to be loose so I screwed it back in tight. Can anyone tell me what this cap is and why it would be loose ?Hobo Bill

The black cap, bottom center covers the regulator adjustment.
Why not tight? Manufacturing error; someone at the dealer removed it to set regulator pressure. Part of a proper PDI by the dealer includes checking and adjusting regulator pressure.Colan and Marilyn Arnold
