A way to test ext. Fridge fans

Over the crazy cold weather we had in winter I had the fridge cooling unit issue. That was fixed but now that it is warming up I don't hear the 4 outside fans kick on. I snapped a pic of the back of the fridge before it was put back. In the pic I see what looks to be the sensor on the top left of the fins near the top air cover. We are in the shade but it is still 85 out.

Is there a way to double check them?

I don't see a way to make them come on as a test.
Just saw that the fans come on at 130°F - https://www.mygrandrv.com/forum/show...l=1#post240917

    Norcold service manual:
See Figure 32. The ventilation fan is supplied 12 volt DC through power board connections.
Fan operation is automatically controlled by a thermostatic switch.
The thermostatic switch is mounted on the condenser fin. See Figure 33.
The switch turns the fan on when the temperature is approximately 130 °F.
The switch turns the fan off when fin temperature drops to approximately 115 °F.

When I followed the wires black goes to 12v+ and white to ground. Maybe it is cooler then 130* in the shade inside back of fridge. Will have to use ir gun to check. I like the idea of changing to lower snap disc temp wise, or the ambiant sensor at 85*.

Guessing the ambiant sensor just replaces the OEM.

Will running a jump wire across this to test work?

Looks like this is the temperature switch mounted up at the top condenser fins.
That's where I'd use a heat gun to warm up the switch to check the fans.
From the diagram and reading about it online, it looks like the switch is normally closed, then opens when it heats up.

It's correct, switch above the flame and heat tube for your frig.

Mine has the flame and heat tube on the right side.

Thanks. Makes sense. Will check Temps with ir gun this weekend. I am still thinking I can test by taking wires off snap disc and putting together, just to see/hear the fans kick on....then that should narrow down any possible issue....

Was 133* and jumping the wire at the snap disk did not work.....went to the bottom and re looked at the wires....must have followed the wrong wire originally. Really, how many red wires can there be

Seems the correct run had an in line fuse. Replaced and all 4 fans powered on. Yayyyy
