ID:	20965For those of you sealing your coroplast so it’s as water tight as you can make it, here is drain valve in case of a major fluid leak. The valve is around 2/12” in diameter and cost just over $10 from Fisheries Supplies in Seattle. I’m going to install one more just behind the fresh water tank area.Click image for larger version.

Are you sure it wont Quack as you go down the road? I'm sorry - could not help it. Its actually a great idea. Do you have a link to the web page where you got them?

    Thanks - Keith

    Hi Keith
There is considerable quacking and squawking at times, especially when partaking in my hobby of modifying the 5th, so I hope no additional quacking or waddling when I’m going down the road. Sometimes singing or humming John Prine’s “The other Side of Town” works and sometimes it doesn’t. Won’t get into details when it doesn’t. The web site is fisheriessupplies.com.

Scuttlebutt on the scupper. I installed the second scupper near the rear of my unit just back of the fresh water tank drain valve. I also sealed the edges of the coroplast and other openings along the frame hoping to keep road water out. After returning from a camping trip in the rain, I checked both scuppers for water. The front scupper was dry, however, the back scupper drained a little over a cup of water when I agitated the rubber and pulled it down to make it the low point. The moral of the story is that the scupper worked as I had hoped and it appears sealing the area between the frame may not keep all of the road water out. Click image for larger version.

I'll bet water is getting in from the spare tire hole where the holder is. It was pretty big on my unit. Drop the spare and take a look.

Don’t think water is getting in at that location as this is how I plugged and sealed the opening.

    That's a neat trick.

What about the lower slide seal when in? I had to do a bit of adjustment on mine, especially where the utilities were located going in. It was right behind a rear tire and subject to a lot of spray.

Thanks, I’ll check to see what it looks like when I close the slides. I glued three rubber patches over the worst areas and used clear sealant in other smaller openings. A little information on the scupper order, I ordered three from fisheries supplies which were around $10 real dollars. The postage turned out to be $38 real dollars and the total cost in Canuck bucks was over $90 dollars. So my two scupper drains cost over $45 each. Still worth the peace of mind knowing water will not build up in the event of a major leak in hidden areas. Also, it will be easy to plug in the scuppers with the coroplast down. It is difficult working to get the washers and screws up into a 1” hole with the coroplast fastened in place.
