make outside fridge area accessible from inside

I'm not planning on using the outside kitchen on my 297 RSTS but would like a larger inside storage area for soda's, bottled water, etc. I would like to do away with outside fridge take out the wooden panel and put a cabinet door on the inside. Has anybody thought of doing this.

We dumped the fridge, but haven't opened up to the inside. Not quite as easy on a 273MK as it opens under the sink.

Thank's RickLight. There is nothing behind our small fridge so I think it should work alright.
