Hope this works. If not , open amazon and type “PCA dimmer “ in the search box.

Thanks! I'm glad to know that can be done.

How did you add the blue lights under the dining room slide? I want to add these under all my slides and change out the bright white ones on the cap and under the frame. Has anyone changed to a blue strip? How did you do it? Are they just glued in place?

    Charlie,

Any thoughts on using this PCA electronics rotary dimmer on the garishly bright "reading lights" over the headboard of the master bed? I don't think I'll ever understand why GD doesn't use dimmers on any of their lights. My last camper - a truck camper of all things - had factory-installed dimmers on just about every single interior LED light. Boy do I miss those!

I actually had the same thought and have an extra switch. I just didn’t see a way to do it and make it look right. The roof of the slide has a solid piece of styrofoam for insulation, maybe an inch thick or so. Power comes into the lamp toward the rear then pigtails off to the other one. The easiest way would be to put the switch in the feed leg and control both lamps. Mainly I didn’t feel like gouging out the styro quite yet. The RV was only a month old at the time.

    Charlie,
Any idea where the wires for those two reading lights enter the slide out? Maybe it’d be feasible to mount that dimmer switch ahead of where the wires enter the slide out?

I didn’t dig into it that deeply once I saw the styro block insulation. It looked like the feed wire angled toward the outer rear corner. I have a wire trace device for following a loomed wire in a vehicle. When I can I’ll see if I can nail it down. Not sure it will see it thru the structure due to the low amp draw.

If you do find where that wire exits, please let me know. Thanks!
