Factory Solar Panel & Inverter on Momentum 397

I just ordered a new Momentum 397 and found out a new option you can order is a 2000 watt solar package. I have been trying to find out more about it but I’m not having any luck.

Has anyone seen this and know anything about it like what brand it is or what the inverter is besides being 2000 watts.

Well, it is only a 300w solar panel array up top, then a 2000W Inverter which will be on the small size for sure on a trailer that large. You wont be running any ACs off of it. The fact that it is a $2k option seems a little high for what you get (since you know the inverter will be a basic, low feature, lowest cost unit).

That is also not a listed option on the GD website currently (and not one I have seen before). Possibly that was a dealer installed kit?

It is a new factory option.

I haven't seen it yet, and there is very little info on it at this point.

After factory shutdown ( 1st 2 weeks in July), there is supposed to be more info coming out.

The order I have is going to be offline on August 6th, I did order it with that option being it still is a start with solar and to watch tv or something like that. I wanted to see if anyone knew the brand and if it was a pure sine inverter or not. I hope to find out more on it before my unit is done and does anyone know if that’s the only new option coming or if there’s anything else I should know about? Thanks again for all the help

I almost forgot about this thread....

This is the latest order sheets, and do show the solar option. Solar prep is standard.

Still haven't heard much about what it works or brands. A question I asked was, since a dealer installs the batteries, what is required with this package....still unanswered.

I think it can be ordered on the 399th too. I will say this, it’s a nice system being you don’t see too many panels that are 300 watts and most people get 100 watt panels. I do plan on adding 2 or 3 more panels so I can have a very strong system. I would like 1,200 watts of panels and 6 battle born batteries. Are you thinking of buying a 399th and what do you like about the 399? Side deck maybe?
