Awning rubbing top of slide out

Can you still access the accessory channel? We have the EZ Zip screen of which the top portion remains permanently attached to the roller tube, but with a 1/4 to 1/2 rotation, it seems like it will change the stress point of the screen attachment, especially when staked. Maybe an extra set of awning straps will help. IDK. Frustrating.

Usually my awning flap is at about 7 o'clock so I think I could still put use the accessory channel as it would be at 4 o'clock.

The adjustment would be to tip the awning down, from the original position.

There should be turn knobs on the arms that have the hydraulic struts attached to them.

There are. I wasn’t able to pitch the awning up above the slide trim.

I think the awning is a Dometic 9200. Found this pdf. Maybe I’m over extending the awning?? (Sec 4.1, Fig 2) Could it be that simple? Why did factory rep say, “that’s just how they are”?

Try this. It is foam pipe insulation.

Our Imagine does the same thing. I took a pool noodle and cut it in half then split it down the middle and placed it on both top corners of the slide.
