If you are new to rving, I highly recommended an Autoslider. One less thing u have to think about. My first year rving we went to Yellowstone. Before we got there I made a wrong turn and was able to make a u turn on a 4 lane road. I have a demco Autoslider and I didn't have to think about clearence. Downside, it's heavy and it takes up about 2 more feet in your bed. I leave mine in my bed 24/7. I still have room for my tool boxes. I have looked at the reese 5th airborne. It pivots at the pin box, not at the hitch. So you get 22 inches of clearance. It has a airbag, and slides to stop chucking. Something to look at. Good reviews
