Any tricks or tips on Maxxair vent cover install?
I am receiving my Maxxair covers in the mail, soon. The YouTube videos make install look easy. Any possible mishaps or problems I need to avoid? Easy to ask now than be sorry later! Thanks Tomm

Thanks for the info and sites. Though, I am not installing a fan equips Maxxair. I am just adding the Maxxair covers, so we can have the vents open during rain and while it sits in our yard to let the heat out!

If you don’t have the Max Air fan then not sure you can use the cover. The regular Camco covers work just fine and universally mount. The Max-Airs have a unique clip that works great if you have the fan. Not sure how it works without it ona standard vent.
My regular Camco’s allow me to keep regular fan open on rain.
I might be missing something.... operating on low sleep.

I installed a Maxxair Fanmate cover yesterday. Easy, Slide in 4 pins and you're done. Carrying cover up the ladder took the longest.

I covered my vents, fans or not, with the Maxxair covers. They work great. Easy install. I think there is a new model now though that I’m not familiar with, but should still work. Sizing is important for height.

I guess I stand corrected... I thought the Maxx Air fan covers only worked on maxx air fans that had the clip mounts already installed.
I installed the maxx air cover over my maxx air fan, but installed the cheaper Camco covers on the non maxx air vents. I still keep those vents open 24x7 rain or shine, and they work just fine.

@10sne1
I would suggest getting all the parts out of the package while you're on the ground, and assembling any hardware that you can on the ground. Also figure out what size wrench, etc. you need while you're on the ground, so that you'll be able to have everything that you need handy when you climb up on the roof.
Use a step ladder next to the trailer to set the parts and tools on the roof, rather than trying to carry everything up the trailer's ladder. Plan on installing all the vent covers during one trip up onto the roof
Once you install the first one, the second one will go much quicker.
While you're on the roof you might as well check out the rest of the roof, looking for sealant that's cracked or deteriorated, etc.Joe & Joy + children
