Using IPOD/IPAD to play music
What am i doing wrong....
When I hook either my IPOD or IPAD via my standard apple cable w/a USB end, to the USB input on the Furrion head unit, it recognizes either devices, but nothing, nada.

I'm still in the purchase phase, so this is just speculative, but- have you tried turning the volume up on both your iPod/iPad and the stereo? Without a pre-amp, music from those devices tends to be on the incredibly soft side for most generic stereos.
Good luck, and sorry I can't be more help!Ussuri Bruin (and his owners)

Thanks wrp75_CO. I know for sure I did it on the Furrion, but not 100% I did it on the IPOD or IPAD...will give it a go.

We play music from a typical flash drive. When it originally wouldn't play I contacted the number on the owner's manual. I was told the music had to be mp3 format. I converted those that needed it and plugged it in. Bingo, we have tunes. Good luck.

Now, that makes sense, as a majority (if not all) of my music is in mp4 format. Gonna give it a go...thanks TNF!

Yeah, the USB input on the head unit won't recognize an iPod, which is kind of a rip off. It would of been nice to have that support. What I ended up doing was pulling the head unit out and drilling an extra cord hole out of the back and ran two more aux cables out for Aux 2 & 3, my iPod is on 2 and my sat radio is on 3, both of which reside in the bin to the right of the head unit. Heck, I ended up drilling holes through about every cabinet around the TV, not sure why this wasn't done at the factory either.

Use a cable that goes from the headset output on the iPod to the AUX In on the stereo.
