We keep a Reflection fifth wheel close to Toccoa, GA, and the state park there looks really nice on the incredible Lake Hartwell. There are also a bunch of really nice campgrounds in the area around Dillard, Hiawassee, Helen and Blairsville, GA. Just north of there, the campgrounds in Western NC are really a disappointment when you compare them to the campgrounds over the mountain around Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I would tell travelers to go to either NE GA or East Tennesseee--for the mountain scenery which is really incredible. We'll be heading up to both GA and TN in 2 weeks for the last camping before school starts.

Carters Lake near Ellijay GA has two really nice COE campgrounds. If youre in west central georgia the COE campgrounds on West Point Lake are hard to beat. (Holiday and Amity being the best but Heard and White Tail Ridge ain't no slouch)
