Pin Box Flexing on 303
Just happened for first time to be watching in rear view after hitting some rough road and noticed the pinbox Flexing in reference to the plastic and fiberglass front of camper. It appears to be Flexing maybe 1/2 inch or less front and back and left right. Normal?
Thank you!

I would have to think some flexing would be normal. If everything is to stiff you would crack something in the frame. Double check all the mounting bolts are tight (one of mine was never tightened and several were loose). I would keep an eye on it and make sure it’s not causing damage to any surrounding fiberglass. Someone else will have some input, but I think no problem/normal.

Pinbox & overhang flex is normal. Usually not noticeable during towing. If you put a tripod under the pin and lift the landing gear, you will see at least 1/2” of flex . . . and that is “static”.
BTW . . . the most stable configuration is about 1/4” of landing gear lift, thus sharing the front end weight equally between the landing gear and the tripod . . . but, that is a different discussion.
