Water-hammer in toilet plumbing
The toilet has developed a symptom that sounds to me like water-hammer. Depress foot valve, water starts running normally, then about the time the pump kicks in (I've installed an expansion tank to limit excessive pump cycling) I hear a sound that resembles a machine gun. Not that loud, but a definite staccato sound.
I'm about to open the dungeon and look at the lines while Renee tries to reproduce the problem top-side, but any pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks.Steve and Renee

We had that problem once on a previous trailer. Turned out to be a water line was to close to some wood where it went through a hole in the wood. It sat there vibrating making an awful racket.

Found the problem: the vibration was coming from inside the expansion tank. The tank was still reading 40 PSI, same as what I filled it to last spring.
I deflated the tank and refilled -- and the vibration was gone. Maybe a pucker in the bladder? I've got a macular pucker in my eye, and that doesn't work so good either.
Anyway, looks like I'm good to go again. . .Steve and Renee
