Solitude Power Recliners and Dry Camping

Hello, new to this forum and my first post! We're moving up from a TT we've been camping with since 2014 (closing in on 300 nights).

I searched first and found this thread asking the same question 18-months ago

Basically how to you utilize the power recliners when dry camping. Several of the posts mentioned getting some batteries specifically for operating power recliners, and there was a helpful Amazon link. So I'd like to know if any other good options have come along since that forum thread went quiet?

I was considering my Goal Zero Yeti, but I have the baby version and it only has one AC outlet. And I'd have to deal with reaching back into that corner of the slide room. I think the battery solution that will recharge while I'm back at home and docked is viable.

I added a 2,000 watt inverter to our RV. I plug the main power cord into the inverter when dry camping. This fires up the recliners. I don't try to do much else with the inverter other than run the coffee maker and let my grandson charge his DVD movie player. To conserve the batteries, I turn off the inverter when we will be away from the RV or just outside for a while. Just make sure you flip off the breaker for your converter when running the inverter from the main power cord.

We had a 2000 watt inverter, solar, and battery bank installed. [emoji274]All outlets run off the inverter when dry camping. No issues with the power recliners. Just avoid using the heater function as that’ll run the batteries dry quickly.[emoji30]

Get the newest order form and see the solar power option.

It will include a large inverter that powers the recliner outlets, and more.

Steve, thanks for the suggestion. We're getting a very nice price on a 2019 and I can only imagine how much more I'd be spending if I had the gumption to be requesting the various options. Maybe once we've been in the GD family for a while and desire a larger model.
