Picked up our unit, they had removed the furnace to check it over and found some debris in the burner. Ran it for about a half hour before leaving the dealership and it seems to work fine.

Purchased our Reflection June 2014 337RLS - Anyone having issues with the cold return air under the hutch? We notice on the colder days that there is quite a 'draft' that comes into the living room from that spot when the trailer starts to cool down about an hr after the furnace has been on. We pulled out the drawer to find the wall behind has a large cut out from it and you can see the furnace & hot water tank. WE thought 'cold air return' means that it should be ducted into the furnace but it isn't. Anyone know about how this is suppose to work?

The furnace return air isn't ducted...it's an open plenum and that's the norm. The opening under the hutch returns room air to the furnace. The partition separating the furnace from the rest of the basement is open at the top so some of the return air to the furnace is from that area which is also heated.

Not to jump this thread but where is the cold air return in the 379FL? Also, is there a filter?

It is still under the forward hutch, towards the front living area.

    Not filtered.

Not sure about this? The partition separating the furnace from the rest of the basement is not open at the top on our model- the walls go to the top. We think there is sufficient air, both warm and cool, that circulates in the whole area in the basement around the furnace... thus one wouldn't need the space under the hutch to be open as well? We blocked off that space for a couple of hours to see if there was any difference in the performance of the furnace & didn't find any difference except that the significant draft that poured into the living space was no longer. I have a pic but don't know how to upload it to this post as it says i need a url address?

Basically, by closing up the space under the hutch, you are slowing down the airflow in the living space.

It will still draw air from the storage area, but not return air from the living space.

Airflow through the opening under the hutch is supposed to be from the living space into the furnace area. If there is a cold draft coming out through this space (presumably only when the furnace is off) this is likely caused by air being exhausted from the living space, somewhere else. Stove hood vent ? Other exhaust fan running ? Even warm air rising through an open roof vent could do it.

We hadn't used our unit since we got it back from the dealer but we took it south after Christmas and have been using the furnace in the mornings to take the chill off. It is still cycling but not as bad as before. It usually goes through three cycles of lighting before it stays lit. Back to the dealer when we get home.

We just got ours back from the service department. Identical issues you were having with the flame constantly cycling until it warmed up. The technician tested a number of things trying to figure it out; limit, sail switch, burner, ignitor gap, etc. After talking to Linda with Atwood it turned out that it was the gas valve alignment. The tech said it looked to be level or straight but Atwood said they've seen several that when they are tightened they are angling down I think. Ran it at the dealership when I picked it up Saturday and again on Sunday. The flame lit once and stayed lit. Problem resolved. Hope this helps.
