Pre Planning Trip, Indianapolis to Denver

We are in the pre planning phase of a 9 Day trip from Indianapolis to Denver in Early June 2020. We have 2 families both with 5th wheels. What are some things we can or should do either on the way or once we get to Denver?

There are some nice state and county parks along I70 However it been about 15 years since going that way. Have you thought about following old 66?

We have been to Denver many times. There are not any nice private RV Parks to stay when you get there.
Cherry Creek State Park right in Denver is very nice and has full hookups. There is a 6 month booking window and it fills up fast. Chatfield Sate Park is a little farther south and is also very nice. It has the same reservation booking window, full hookups and horse back riding in the park.
Dakota Ridge RV Park west in Golden is not bad, a little pricey and the sites are crowded close together.

There are a ton of things to do in the Denver area just depends on what you like to do.
Red Rocks, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Coors Brewery Tour, LODO area of downtown, Rockies Baseball, Littleton Colorado (micro breweries,antiques etc) Old Town Louisville, downtown Golden.
Bike trails, hiking areas I could go on and on.
Enjoy your trip and we just may be in Cherry Creek State Park in June of 2020 as we have a trip planned for Denver that month.

I just remembered - along I70 somewhere is the big Cabella store. Expensive place to stop though Camping is free I think.

Now if you like a seafood spread a place called The Fresh Fish Company has a huge Sunday brunch. My favorite stop
