Great Idea ! ! ! That's on the "Hide a Key" I happen to have one that has been sitting here and I never used it, so now I have a great reason to use it, just will figure out a good place to put it so it doesn't get full of water or drop off the trailer. We both carry a set of keys, but I have left mine on the desk before and didn't realize it until we got to camp. She always has hers, but from now on, we will always have the extras set. Thanks for the great idea!!!

I replaced our door lock with an RVLock.
We don’t even use keys anymore.

Hard to screw that system up.

Also replaced all the exterior compartment locks with combination locks.

I had the RV Lock on a previous RV and would remove or not purchase it.
Reason being there is a pin inside that came out and we could not get into our RV!!
Luckily through one of the storage compartment doors we were able to get inside and push up the seat of the u-shaped dinette. Or else it was break a window!!

I guess I’m lucky it’s been 5 seasons with our Rvlock on the door and no issues! I change the batteries in the spring and always lubricate the latches and the key holes with the right lubricate. I did get locked out with the original door lock way back. I took the key out to early and could not get the key cylinder to turn. Luckily I had a drill and drilled out the cylinder and used a screw driver to turn the deadbolt. That was scary especially with dual pane windows. Didn’t want to break one.

Do they fit in the existing hardware’s hole without any drilling needed? Also thickness of the door versus what the replacement lock is. Are the GD compartment door thickness all a standard ?

Yup. Lesson learned here. I was complacent because we were so close to home.

Wow... Hadn't seen anything like that yet. I do wish my trailer had two doors sometimes for things like this.

Got the RV lock installed Saturday. Only real complaint is that it makes contact with the wall at the same time as the magnet latch. I'm going to add a spacer to the magnet latch on the door side to avoid that.

I got the RV lock matching cylinders for the storage doors but they don't fit. My doors are like 1/2" and the locks they sent are close to double that. I could get offset tab things, but I'm leaning towards just getting combilocks. I like the idea of the convenience and backup access. I'm also considering building a "path" from the storage compartment into the underbed compartment. An emergency hatch, if you will.
