Question Need help with B & W Patriot Slide Hitch Creak

I've looked all over Etrailer, B&W's website, several RV forums and Youtube and can't find a solution for this really annoying creak.
It's pretty loud when we're I'm towing, and it isn't the trailer because I can reproduce it disconnected using pressure on the saddle.

I've lubed the one Zerk fitting that is located here:

I have lube on the 2 shoulders that are circled below:

I can reproduce the creak sound even after removing the head and laying it on my tailgate so it has nothing to do with the base.

If I press down where these arrows are and tilt the horseshoe-shaped part side to side, this produces the squeak.

I took my grease gun and basically squirted grease all over the springs and everything I could see in here:

Obviously I can call B&W tomorrow, but I was hoping someone here may have had the same issue and knew a fix.

Wonder about the damper that mounted on one side below the coupler head.

Used a B&W Patriot for 5 years and never had a squeak. Not sure what else you can do. Any chance it's your rail connection? Noise tend to radiate from unsuspected places.

My moneys on the little damper looking thing. They have had trouble with them. When they rebuilt my hitch they installed a damper that wouldn't move and there was a creaking sound. They sent me a new damper. Try disconnecting one end of the damper and see if the noise goes away. BTW the rebuild was free including shipping both ways and turn around was a week. Great company.

As I said above, since I can reproduce the sound with the head of the hitch laying on my tailgate that kind of eliminates the rails...

Thanks for the suggestion but that is either a different model or maybe a newer version of mine, I don’t have a dampener, nothing like that anyway.

Are you using the spring leveling device? If so maybe remove it and see if that's the squeak.

Use a section of rubber hose. Have someone help move the plate to reproduce the noise , and you can pinpoint where it is coming from by listening thru it and moving the hose to different contact points.
