Need Wheel torque lbs for Dexter 6K axles

    Hey All,

I searched high and low on this Forum, and cannot find a reference to what the rated wheel torque should be on a six lug 16" wheel on the Dexter 6,000 # axles ???

Sure would appreciate some help here !!

    Thanks Gene AGAIN !!!

GD installed the wrong axles on my 307 (5200 # Lipperts)
It wasn't until I drove a cross country trip for 8 months and 18,000 miles that I realized this and only when I tried to order seals to do a repack of the bearings !!

GD replaced the Lippert's with 6,000 # Dexters and upgraded to the 3,000# springs as well but I never receioved any documentation from them in this regard.

I have 16 " wheels but where do I find what size they are according to that spec sheet ??

Hey Michael - the sheet shows specs for a 16 inch wheel with a 6 lug on 5.5 inch bolt circle and one with 8 lug on 6.5 inch bolt circle. I have 6000 lb Dexters on my 315, they are the former spec'd at 100 - 120 ft. lbs. I suspect yours are the same.

Thanks to both of you !!!
I'll have to measure the wheel lug circle to be sure but given my weight class (the RV's I mean), I would think it's 5.5.
