2017 315RLTS w/2-2.5kW Solar - Coming Soon I Think (Tesla Power)
Had it for a few months now and have done a few short trips in it and want to venture out to other places, with my job I can work remotely so I need to have some pretty good power as well as internet. I've done a few modifications to gain access behind the TV (going to put the networking gear back there and probably the server.
I have most all of the parts I think I'll need at this point except for some pv wires which i was going to measure and order from the company I bought the panels from, after I mount the panels and figure out where I can come through at.
Thinking most of the equipment will need to be in the forward storage.

I’m guessing 500ah total from the 2 Tesla batteries?
If you’re planning to run your roof air you’ll likely need 4 instead.
Reach out to AlanHenson, he’s another member here who has nearly the same setup.

I think the Ah is probably more around 450 and with the inverter at say 92% efficiency that makes it about 400Ah probably (this is on a 24v system as well), only a real world test on it I think I'll know for sure.
You could run the AC unit off of any battery as long as the inverter is capable of doing so, it's just how long do you want to run an AC unit off a battery is the question I guess.
Thanks for the other users name I'll take a peek and see what Alan has maybe get some ideas.
You have a solar setup as well on your rig as well I thought I saw or was that an earlier one you had?Last edited by jungleb0y; 07-31-2019 at 08:53 AM. Reason: update

Yes sir, I do, not as elaborate though.
1155 watts of solar, 3000 watts Magnum Hybrid, a pair of Blue Sky 3024iL’s, and 400ah of LiFeP04.
The Tesla batteries are a good value for folks on a budget or folks that don’t think a warranty is important, but I’d rather have a nice long warranty, so I went with Battle Borns.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess you could also say that there are people that just like the battery as well.
Have to see how the install goes I guess, I should have had the panels on by now, but I have been tied up this week so far with some other obligations (work). The only thing that works on a RV is the owner...

I got pretty much the solar panels installed on the roof except the front one that will sit over the combiner box previous to August 18th then we went up to Tennessee for a birthday and some family visiting where I installed everything in the pass through and got it wired up and working, I had an issue connecting to the victron with the ethernet cable I had on hand but when I got a second one it connected fine and I was able to program it to the correct settings for the battery. Just this weekend I was able to get the contactor wired in so that when shore power is removed it's going to supply power to both sides of the panel, the outlets on the front of the trailer (master and such up there).
I still have to add the last panel, bundle some of the wires and do a final tie down of the wires on the roof as well and I'll post a few more photos when I get that buttoned up.

Got the last panel up on the roof and wired into the combiner box last week, I was also able to get some time today to bundle up the cables in the pass through.
Next I have to finish up the Arduino that is going to be controlling the remotes on the multiplus, mppt and battery protect as well as turning on an exhaust fan or heater.
There is a sheet of plywood that is removed from the front of the battery enclosure so that I could take some photos.
