    Cargo Bay Door Annoyance

I've been looking for something to secure/hold the cargo door on the left side of the RV, right door. I got tired of getting hit by the cargo door when hooking things up to the nautilus panel. Also if you have the furnace on or the water heater and the door opens full the heat will scorch or burn the door. Well got tired of it so I went to Home Depot and got a simple 6 inch hook and eye, works ok. The hook attachment was a little too wide so it put a small dimple in the foam core door when shut but doesn't create a gap in the door seal. Attached the eyelet to the door with double sided sticky tape and screws. Everything all stainless so shouldn't rust. At least the door wont hit me anymore and I dont have to worry about burning the outside of the door. Yeah, Yeah I know, if you hook the door open in a hurricane it would pull the eyelet right off the foam core door. It will work until I find something better.

The left cargo door with the leveling controller attached is held open with a magnet. Nothing to scorch or burn the door on that side...

Back in 2015 there was some discussions going on about that very thing. The fix for it was getting the magnets from GD that they use on the other side of the trailer on the basement door . Mount the magnets on the door and the side of the trailer then when you open the door just open it all the way so it catches the magnet and holds it open.

Well you cant do that with the left side, double cargo door. the right cargo door on the 3350RL, when its fully open it covers, and is up against the water heater. If the water heater is on with propane with all that heat coming out of the vent it will burn the door. When fully open it is real close to the furnace external vent as well.
