No outside exhaust for microwave 2019 337rks

Hi Guys,

Just had to replace the High Pointe microwave in my 2017 374TH. For those that don't know, parts for High Point Microwaves are not available. The top mounting holes were off just enough to make installation difficult so I bought one of the low profile units and built a new cabinet. Now I thinking about putting in the outside vent but my concern/question is does the outside venting cause grease streaking on the outside of the trailer?

Any comments and/or experiences would be appreciated.

We had the vent on our Momentum and there was never anything going out the vent but heat and smells. KEN

The vent on our Momentum 351 is nine feet off the ground too. I have a used ski pole (fire stick) that I use to clip or unclip the flap. Not an elegant solution but it works.

the filter will catch most of the grease.

I still haven't received a bill. I'll check with him about the template. You should be able to contact GD and they will send you one

Did you ever get billed for adding the vent? I have an awning mounted to my 320MKS slideout, not sure if I would have clearance to put the vent.

I have asked our dealer for a price to install the rear discharge vent. The installation manual that came with the microwave has the instructions and template for installing as a rear discharge.
