LOL. This keeps getting funnier and funnier. Facts literally don't matter.

The only FACT that matters, your mythical engine doesn't exist!

But I guess that makes it easier to argue that it's better. Impossible to prove otherwise. Wake me when someone, anyone, builds one for the same cost as a diesel, pulls with a diesel, has the same warranty, and gets similar mileage. Until then I guess I'm stuck pulling with my lowly Duramax, at least until it self destructs.

The 7.3 is not meant for everyday personal driving. They're made for a vehicle that carries heavy weights all the time. That's like a motor home, service truck with compressors and a crane. That engine's also going into medium duty trucks with box beds, etc.

The 6.2 engine is much better motor for normal driving when a 11k lb. trailer will be towed just from time to time.
I'm likewise trying to decide between the new 7.3 gas / 10 speed and a diesel to pull a 2018 Reflection 29RS (GVWR- 10,995, hitch wt.- 1420) which I recently purchased. Since I'm retired the truck will be used 90%+ for towing and sightseeing from the campgrounds. We're not full-timers... probably 3-4 RV trips per year totalling 4-5 months. We live in Georgia so most RVing will be in the Smokies/Appalacian Mtns and flat east coast. but we do plan some trips to the Rockies/Sierras. With this mid-weight trailer, are the diesel torque, mpg & exhaust brake still desirable enough to tip the scales? Or do lower maintenance cost, lower priced/easier to find gas and simplicity point to the 7.3 gas? I'm awaiting the towing mpg numbers for the 7.3 gas. I wonder if the diesel mpg will always offset the typically 20%+ higher fuel price. Any of your thoughts/guidance would be appreciated!
Also... is a DRW overkill for this trailer? I thought an F250 or Ram 2500 long-bed would be more than enough... but the more I read, the more I'm considering a 1 ton SRW ... or even a DRW. I'm 72, and want a trailer that can be used in most state parks so I doubt we'll be getting a larger trailer... (I know..."famous last words"). I would prefer the SRW while sightseeing.

Jim: It appears that Ford more or less has a gag order on magazines and online tests until 1/22. While the 7.3 is out, road tests are now showing up on the internet. Going a F250 crewcab, the 6.75' bed may be the longest available. But on a SRW F350, I'm thinking an 8' bed is available. That's what I'd be looking for.

I too have a mid size 323BHS Reflection fifth wheel, and at 11K lbs. and 2K lbs kingpin weight, my F250 handles it well but I'm max'd out.

But there again, my trailer stays in storage at Unicoi Spring Camp Resort in Helen, GA, and the campground moves it to and from the campsites for me.

    I just bought a 2020 F350 Tremor 7.3 4.30 gears to pull a Reflection 303RLS. After driving the 7.3 I don't think I'll have any problem with my 303 RLS.

After you get some miles on it towing and non-towing please post some information, MPG for both, power while towing. We currently have an Imagine 2670MK but we are looking at someday a Reflection 320MKS, the ultimate would be the Solitude 344GK but I think that would be too much for a non-turbo gas engine. What makes this so tempting is the available payload as compared to the diesel. What are your payload numbers and is it 4WD/2WD and what trim level?

That should be a great truck,

Sounds exciting! Do you mind listing your payload capacity and axle ratings? Not a weight police question, just looking for real world numbers vice the numbers Ford published. Also, is it 4WD or 2WD? Thanks in advance.

I sold a 2018 F250 diesel because the payload was 2395. This new truck is rated to tow a gooseneck/5th wheel 20K.

Is this a crew cab, super cab, regular cab and is it a short bed or long bed? Love the payload numbers.

This is my truck 100% stock from Ford. Don't get worried about the size of the tires on the truck, they are part of a new package called Tremor, it's not mandatory.
I hooked up my 2020 Reflection 303 RLS where its stored and the trailer sat very close to my sold F250 CCSB F4X.
The difference in hitch height between the two trucks is about 1"~. Ford supposedly lowered the 2020 truck a little.

This is the original truck I ordered. It won't be built until next week and should be at the dealer in mid February. I was told I would have it sooner and I needed the truck in January.
