Roof treatment....or not?

2019 372 WB. Believe roof is TPO. Hear both... treat with UV protectant.....or just wash....

TPO is marketed as maintenance free and non chalking. That would suggest it does not break down easily. I believe GD's warranty for the roof is 12 years which is longer than I will likely last.

I cleaned mine good with 30 Second Cleaner but not planning to put anything on it.

I had an EPDM roof on my former 5th wheel and TPO on my Momentum. I don't plan on doing as much maintenance on the TPO roof. I will use dawn detergent as suggest by Alpha to clean it, should it become dirty. It's nearly 2 years old now, camped in many different environments, still looks clean. I can't find a recommendation to add sealer to the TPO roof. So for now I am going to just inspect my roof and the seals from time to time.

Just wanted to clarify......I used 30 Second Cleaner only because my TPO had the black mildew that seems to grow on this stuff. Now that I have it clean, I will use the recommended Dawn for routine cleaning.

well I contacted Grand Design who recommended I contact Alpha Systems...manufacturer of the roof. The roof has UV protection built into it so they recommend not adding additional UV protectants. Clean only.
