Theater seat attachment in Solitude 369RL

The theater seats in our Solitude tend to move around during travel. I noticed that they are not attached to the floor like the couch is. Should they be? Is there a safe way to secure them to the floor? Since they are in the slide, I don't want to risk damaging anything by using the incorrect screws.

    Thanks

YES! They should be attached to the floor with screws. Need screws in back and front so it doesn't tip if you lean on it. They were attached properly by GD when I was at the GD Rally. Im not sure of the screw length but you can ask GD. Screw length may not the same as the couch because the floor in slide out.

Thanks. I kinda thought so. Never really had much of a problem but I do need to re position them quite often since they move around a little. I think the floor is about 3/4" thick. Maybe someone from GD will chime in and tell me the correct screw length to use an I will secure them to the floor and be done with it.

    Hi Andy & Julie (@thompsons 369rl),

We now secure the theatre seats to the floor. This is easily done. Just make sure your screws are no longer than 1".

    Best regards,
    ~ Janice

Just a FYI on the seat attachment. I had to install a longer 1 1/2 inch screw to get through the carpet, padding and seat bracket, then tighten it to compress all that padding down enough for the 1 inch screw to get into the wood of the floor. Once the 1 inch was tight, I removed the longer screw. Didn't want to take any chances. Worked fine.

I tried the short screw method on the table, but the screws don't seem to have enough bite in the flooring. I have been considering coming up from the underside of the slide with carriage bolts and using wing nuts on the top. Anybody out there tried that ?
