I believe you can manually lift the legs if they get stuck. Check the instructions that came with the system.

I don't let the tires off the ground, though the leveling system has no problem with it.

Once we get on the site and are approximately where we want to be, I check the manual readout on the level system for the degrees off level. If we're more than 1 unit low, I put that side up on blocks. Sometimes I use blocks under each leg to even it out, or to keep the stroke low. I like to think it's more art than science.

After watching many, sometimes closely, using manual systems, I won't be going back. Auto level is brilliant. Not foolproof! Like anything else, you learn to work with it. I love it.
Absolutely agree. No way will I go back to manual. Yeah - it isn't perfect - but it's a LOT easier.

The system works REALLY well. I am wagering an adult beverage first time we meet camping, with-in a year, you won't be messing with trying to get the trailer close to level before using auto-level. Only exception is the site that is WAY out of level; as others have mentioned, just to prevent a tire from being up off the ground. For me, this has been less than a handful of times in the last 30 outings.

As others said, I will eyeball things and put the leveling blocks under the legs that look like they will be extending the most. Intent is simply to minimize extension. Again, just talking about a few seconds to toss a block or three under where the leveling foot will land; not driving tires up on blocks.

What the.....?! Save the trailer from flooding? Bears? Shelter for the woodpile? Get closer to god?

That would have to be occupied by an AWFUL purty girl to get me to go in there!

It's so you can have a real basement and if it's in snow country reduces the shoveling

Yes, agree with everything here. In the two years we've owned the fifth wheel (15k+ miles?), I've put the tires up on blocks... maybe three times. And once was in a Walmart, where a level site wasn't really expected.

I don't care how pretty (well maybe a little) but I think a light breeze would be a BIG problem. Holy cow!!!!
