Convection oven cooking
Hello, anyone cook with their microwave/convection oven? When cooking with convection can you leave the plastic turntable in the oven?

We use ours all the time. We leave the GLASS turntable in ours when using either microwave or convection. I would assume your turntable is also glass but if it really is plastic, I would be a little concerned about leaving it in at high temps.

Wifey just corrected me. It's the plastic ring under the glass turntable.

Had never used the convection part of microwave, or any other convection oven for that matter, but son and I were camping in Utah earlier in the year and it was too windy outside to grill. We had a whole chicken that needed cooking. We seasoned it and read the directions to the convection oven and cooked the chicken in it. It was the best chicken I had ever cooked. Told my wife about it upon our return and I had to prove it to her so I cooked another one and it was delicious also. I'm sold on it but I prefer cooking outside.

We got one for the house to get used to cooking with it. It makes great pizza because it rotates so one side isn't well done while the other is half cooked. The only thing that really freaks me out about it is preheating the oven with the metal rack in it. We use the metal rack to hold the pizza up so the crust cooks better.

The wife loves to bake with it and said that was her next addition to the house kitchen.
