I do it because I've seen it recommended in a number of articles and videos. It does reduce the amount of water in the system - a fair bit gets blown out of each fixture even after the system has been emptied with the low-point drains. When antifreeze is pumped in it will be less diluted with remaining water as it fills the system. Since blowing out adds only a few minutes and not much effort, I've followed the advice I've read/seen. YMMV.
