This will be my first year making wine. Planted 42 Marquette vines three years ago, looking forward to harvest.
Love the sign!!!!! how much wine do you expect to get? Is this the first year the vines had fruit?

This was a label I used with my "Band's" logo. Not every bar band has it's own wine LOLClick image for larger version.

Fifteen plus years as co-owner / winemaker of a small boutique winery called ‘37 Cellars in Leavenworth, Washington. I had to find a way to feed the habit .

I tried making a couple wines over the years and they just were not all that good. So I stick mainly to brewing beer, ales mostly. I've been brewing beer for over 25 years.

    Excellent thread.
My GrandParents owned property near Geyserville Ca and made (mostly white) wines, wines in the “Champagne method,” and Brandy. Long, long time ago.
I couldn't tell you much about how it was made, but working there I had some of the best experiences of growing up. I could tell you what my tasks were, or what I remember.
I riddled "Champaign method" sparkling wines which today no kid would be allowed to do, labeled bottles, cleaned everything and it better be perfect,, was eventually trusted to pick grapes properly, and other jobs.

We ate good, always wine on the table like White Zin, even the kids could pour their own. White Zin very unknown back then, not really distributed or sold outside of the county, drank only by the locals like Barbera, another locals but a strong red.
Been a long spell since I've been back.
I understand all kinds of wines are produced in the region now.

We tried once, and we got vinegar and some kind of black currant carbonated fruit drink. Since that, I decided only buy wine in specific stores and don't experiment any more.

This year’s harvest was small due to third year pruning. Only ended up with three gallons of wine. But, for the first year, it tastes pretty good. Next season I’ll allow the vines to produce a full crop. We’ll see how that turns out.
