Or you can cut the lights at certain marked places (every 3 LEDs IIRC) and install these connectors on the ends:

I used them in my pantry mod (lights under each shelf and tied into the existing ceiling fixture).John & Cheryl

Thank you for this idea. DW has been wanting more light in the pantry. I ordered two lights and the sensor.

One other thing that helps with light is to install Reflectix on the back wall of the pantry. This is thin (1/4"?) reflective insulation that looks like silver bubble wrap. In addition to providing some insulation to keep heat out, it reflects the light back into the pantry. You can get it at Home Depot and I'm sure lots of other places. We installed it with double sided tape.
This is ours:
Note that I didn't put lights under the bottom shelf. Looking at this picture I might do that...John & Cheryl

Thank you for posting this solution that GD should use. Can't wait to get home from current trip to install lights!

My question as well. And how do you connect it to power source which I assume is the existing light fixture. Any pics or you tubes?

Does the Reflectix (or what ever it's called) make a noticable difference in the heat build up in the pantry?
We did the led light strip down one side a few years back, took the bulb apart and inserted the led wires into the retaining part, re inserted it and let there be light!Marcy & Gary
